what it is
on a paid plan, postpalm can back your library up to a private cloud. your posts, their files, your folders, favorites and wishlists are stored under your account, and only your account can open them. you can use up to 50 gb.
turn it on or off
open settings, storage and cloud. back up to cloud is on by default for paid plans. progress shows as a bar while files upload. large videos may be compressed a little for the cloud copy, and the copy on your phone is never changed.
the buttons
- sync now: backs up anything new and removes cloud copies of posts you deleted.
- move everything to the cloud: backs everything up, then takes saved videos off your phone to free space. they stay in your library and download again when you open them. photos stay on your phone.
- download everything: brings every video that only lives in the cloud back to your phone.
- cloud first: when your phone is almost full, your oldest videos move to the cloud by themselves.
- recently deleted: see below.
- delete everything in my cloud: removes your cloud copy for good. your phone's library is not touched.
recently deleted
when you delete a post, its cloud copy is kept for 30 days. open recently deleted in the storage page to bring a post back. after 30 days it is removed for good.
a new phone
sign in with the same account. when postpalm finds a backup, it asks download your posts?. tap yes and your library comes back.
when the cloud is full
new posts still save to your phone and work offline. only their cloud copy waits until you free space or delete old cloud items.
cloud backup is a feature of the monthly, annual and lifetime plans. if a plan ends, what is on your phone stays on your phone.
