overview
postpalm is built to keep your library on your phone. our service handles only what it needs to sign you in, count free saves, back up to the cloud if you turn that on, take payments through apple, and answer your messages. postpalm is made by provarian visuals.
what stays on your phone
the posts you save, their photos and videos, folders, favorites and wishlists are stored on your phone. none of that is sent to our cloud unless you are on a paid plan with cloud backup turned on.
data we process
- account details: your email address and, if you use sign in with apple or google, the name and picture they share, plus the identifiers those services give us.
- plan and usage: your plan, and how many free saves you've used this month. so that limits can't be reset by reinstalling, a counter is also kept in your phone's keychain. it holds a number and a month, nothing about you.
- links you save: to save a post, the link is sent to our server so it can fetch the post's photos, video and text and hand them to your phone. the files are held only long enough to be delivered.
- cloud backup (paid plans, optional): your saved posts, their files, folders and favorites, stored privately under your account. you can turn backup off or delete everything in your cloud from settings.
- purchase status: which product you bought and when it renews or ends, so your plan unlocks. we receive this from apple. we never see your card details.
- support messages you send us.
who processes your data for us
- supabase: sign-in, the database and cloud file storage.
- render: hosts the server that fetches posts for you.
- apple: sign in with apple, the app store, purchases and notifications.
- google: only if you choose sign in with google.
these providers handle data under their own terms. we do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
posts from other people
when you save a public post, you get a copy of what any viewer could already see. posts belong to their creators. postpalm never asks for, or gives access to, anyone's private account, password or device.
notifications and face id
if you allow them, notifications tell you when a save finishes. you can turn them off in your iphone's settings. face id is used on your phone only, to unlock private folders. postpalm never receives it.
how long we keep data
your account and cloud data are kept while your account exists. when you delete your account, your cloud files, database records and login are removed. small amounts may remain for a short time in backups, or longer where the law or billing records require it. posts on your phone are removed when you delete the app.
your choices and rights
you can see and change what we hold about you, ask us for a copy, or ask us to delete it, by using the in-app options (settings, account, delete account) or emailing us. depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under laws such as the gdpr or ccpa, and we will honor them.
children
postpalm is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
changes
if this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app.
